Here we are! After a period of commitments and problems with our pc we are back with this post and many new ideas (but, did anyone miss us just a little?).
Today we tell you the recipe of a very famous French dessert (even Marcel Proust talk about it in his book "à la recherche du temps perdu") very romantic, soft and fluffy, one of those sweets that smells of butter, lemon and vanilla while cooking in the oven and perfect to serve with a good tea and bouquets of fragrant roses...and since Summer brought warm and sunny days we introduce you the...Madeleine with lemon and vanilla with green tea ice-cream and a few more details to make everything very special

For the Madeleines (with silicone mold by Silikomart)
140g flour00
3 eggs
70g butter
a pinch of salt
1 teaspoon of baking powder
130g sugar
1 vanilla pod (seeds)
l lemon zest

Whisk the eggs with sugar and the seeds of vanilla for a few minutes using the electric whisks. Melt the butter and let it cool. Sift the flour and mix it with the bakinh powder, salt and lemon zest, pour the butter into the flour and mix with a whisk, add the eggs little at a time stirring constantly with the whisk until you get a smooth mixture without lumps. Let the mixture stands for about 15 minutes in the fridge. Brush the mold with a bit of melted butter, fill with the mixture (without abound 'cause it leavens much in cooking) and bake at 180°C ventilated for about 10 minutes. Let stand the madeleines and then serve them at will...we have prepared a delicious green tea ice-cream (a sweet way to have tea)and we add a fresh and fragrant note with some basil flowers.

One more idea: prepare madeleines skewers with fresh fruit, good like this or with a cold cream, ice-cream or even yogurt...we used the rasperries from our garden (what a satisfaction to pick them up!) and some White chocolate curls...absolutely to try!

And more...cut your madeleines and spread them with ice-cream or whipped cream and serve them with coffee, they will be as unexpected us appreciated.

Enjoy...

And if you are looking for a lovely idea for the brunch or for the aperitif...madeleines with lemon and Parmesan cheese with confit tomatoes or grilled veggies, so good served with fresh pesto or basil mayonnaise (140g flour00, an handful  of salt, 120g Parmesa cheese, 3 eggs, 1 lemon zest, 70g butter, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 teaspoon baking powder). A sweet, so many ideas and a Whole Summer of moments to share and remember. Enjoy...
