Dark Chocolate & Cocoa Mini Tarts (Christmas Time)

Just in time for Christmas!

It happens to you too? On the Christmas Day we stop for a while to look around...if someone laugh, someone talk, someone pick up something to eat (and someone open the botton of the pants 'cause of the overeating)...we think "This is a Merry Christmas", if at the table does not miss anyone...then it is a perfect Christmas! We wish you a peaceful and happy Christmas with all your dears full of little moments that will become wonderful memories...and so many good things to eat. And in this regard could not miss our sweet proposal for the Holidays: dark chocolate and cocoa mini pies (with spices) with a light snowfall of icing sugar, easy to make and super delicious. It will be a so sweet Christmas!

Happy sweet Holidays!
Enjoy...

Ingredients (for 8 mini pies or for a 28cm pan)
400g sweets flour
40g cocoa
200g butter
100g vanilla sugar
4 teaspoons cinnamon in powder
a pinch of black pepper
a pinch of nutmeg
a pinch of salt

300g dark chocolate
100ml water
2 spoons mascarpone
2 spoons of icing sugar

Sift the flour and cocoa, add the spices, salt and sugar and mix well. Add to the mix the cold butter into small pieces and knead until obtaining a smooth and compact dough. Wrap it in the film and let stand in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin to a thickness of 3/4 mm and place it in the mini pie molds or in the pie pan (previously buttered and flavoured or with the oven paper), press the sides with rolling pin to cut off the dough in excess (take aside for the decoration) and bake at 180°C preaheated oven, static top and bottom, for about 15 minutes or untill well done.

Remove from the oven and let cool completely before taking off the pan, if during cooking the dough is slightly leavened just press with the base of a glass to have a uniform surface.
Meanwhile you can bake the cookies for the decoration (at the same temperature for about 10 minutes) giving it the shape you prefer, we choose the snowflake...it is really Christmassy!
Prepare the chocolate filling is easy: just melt the chocolate with a bit of water (you can use also milk or almond milk but water make it so fresh and light) and a bit of mascarpone (if you have not use a bit of White creamy cheese). When the mixture is well fluid add the icing sugar, mix well and pour into the pies or into the pie and let stand. You can serve still warm, or let it cool getting a chocolate cream really luscious (try it!). Decorate with cookies and they are ready to serve maybe with a bit of super fresh whipped cream. Obviously ours are finished before the feasts.

Happy sweet Holidays!
Enjoy...
